1. Scope and Contact

BizAssist POS is the app and service named in this Policy. This Policy covers its accounts, business workspaces, sales, inventory, customers, subscriptions, support, security, and related website services. BizAssist Restaurant Ops has a separate supplemental policy for its restaurant-specific data.

Questions or requests may be sent to bizassistcare@gmail.com. We may verify the requester before acting on an account, business, or privacy request.

2. Information We Handle

  • Account data, including name, email, profile information, verification status, account identifiers, and security information.
  • Business and staff data, including business details, roles, permissions, catalogs, prices, taxes, inventory, suppliers, media, and operational settings.
  • Sales and customer data entered by a business, including items, discounts, taxes, payment method labels, receipts, refunds, notes, contact details, and purchase history.
  • Subscription data, including plan, app-store transaction identifiers, entitlement and renewal status, and billing-support history. BizAssist POS does not receive a full app-store payment-card number.
  • Device, log, and security data, including app version, device type, operating system, IP address, request and error logs, and security events.
  • Camera, selected photos, or selected files when you use barcode, profile, logo, product-image, or upload features and grant the required device permission.

3. How Information Is Used

  • Provide accounts, business tools, sales, inventory, customer records, reports, subscriptions, exports, and support.
  • Authenticate users, enforce roles, prevent misuse, troubleshoot problems, protect the service, and recover from incidents.
  • Send verification, service, billing, security, and policy notices.
  • Maintain and improve reliability, accessibility, performance, and security.
  • Comply with legal obligations, enforce agreements, resolve disputes, and protect users and the service.

Information is processed to provide the service, with consent when required, for legitimate security and service needs, and to meet legal obligations.

4. Business Records and Responsibilities

A business generally decides why customer, staff, sale, and inventory information is entered in its workspace. The business is responsible for required notices or consent, appropriate access, accurate records, and requests involving its customers or staff. BizAssist POS processes that information to provide the service and assist the business where required.

5. Sharing and Service Providers

  • Information is shared with authorized owners, administrators, staff, and configured business displays according to their access.
  • Service providers may process information for hosting, databases, storage, media, email, app-store billing, security, diagnostics, and support.
  • Information may be disclosed when required by law, to protect rights or safety, or as part of a business transfer with appropriate safeguards.

BizAssist POS does not sell or rent personal information, use merchant customer lists for its own advertising, or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Providers may process information in other countries, subject to safeguards required by applicable law.

6. Security and Retention

BizAssist POS uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, including authentication, role-based access, encrypted transport, restricted service access, monitoring, and backups. No system is completely secure, so users must also protect their devices and credentials.

Information is kept while an account, business, subscription, or business record is active and afterward only as reasonably needed for completed transactions, exports, backups, security, fraud prevention, disputes, audits, or legal obligations. It is deleted or de-identified when no longer needed for those purposes.

7. Privacy Rights and Account Deletion

Depending on applicable law and who controls the record, a person may ask to be informed, access or correct personal information, object to or restrict processing, withdraw consent, request deletion or blocking, request a portable copy, or complain to a privacy regulator. We may verify identity and authority before responding. Customers and staff should normally contact the business that collected their information first.

Account deletion can be started in the app or through https://www.bizassist.app/account-deletion. A request may also be sent to bizassistcare@gmail.com. Business ownership may need to be transferred or closed first. Deleting an account does not cancel an app-store subscription, and records may be retained when required for completed transactions, security, disputes, or law.

8. Children, Changes, and Contact

BizAssist POS accounts are for adults and the service is not directed to children. Businesses should not enter children's information unless they have a lawful need and the required authority and safeguards.

This Policy may be updated when the service, providers, or law changes. The updated date will be posted, and additional notice or consent will be provided when required.

Questions or requests may be sent to bizassistcare@gmail.com. We may verify the requester before acting on an account, business, or privacy request.
